Our Story
Simon Lawrence, our founder, built his auto dealership on the principle of “People helping people.” However, the rise of online car shopping in 2017 disrupted the growth. Adapting to change, he sold his company and joined TESLA, transitioning from cars to solar and later leading successful roofing startups in Florida. Success leaves clues.
After COVID in 2020, a missing gap was revealed in the service industry: online sales. Testing faster online estimates with a local roofing company proved successful, as customers appreciated better prices and faster service – and were comfortable with phone calls rather than in-person meetings. There was a better way.
In 2024, we founded Express Quote, partnering with top contractors to combine quality workmanship with great deals. The company aims to revolutionize how people get quotes for home improvement services like roofing, solar, and gutters. Express Quote represents a shift towards a more efficient, customer-friendly approach in the home service industry.

In 2024, technological advancements have made it possible to obtain accurate home measurements from high-resolution satellite imagery, and instant calculators have become commonplace on websites.
